Dear Readers,
Welcome to the 2026 Spring Edition of the Judson Mosaic! I hope you will enjoy hearing from the contributors whose talents furnish this new edition.
Because I am graduating at the close of this semester, this is my last edition of Mosaic as Editor. Looking back to when I founded Mosaic in the fall of my junior year, I am so blessed by the space it has become. It’s not just a place where we showcase talent. Mosaic is a place where voices can be heard, stories can be told, and ideas can be shared.
When I was considering the pieces in this edition, the word impact came to mind. Dyllan Kolinen’s “Keating and Me” is a reminder to look for opportunities to pour into others, while Ari Beck’s essay on Judson’s Thompson Building portrays the power of a simple vision to affect generations to come.
Ultimately, the words we write and the art we create have the power to impact the people around us, but our impact doesn’t stop there. Behind each of these pieces of writing and these works of art are students who have the power to change the world around them just through the way that they live and serve. That’s true for all of us.
As 1 Peter 2:9 says beautifully, “You are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for His own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.” That’s what Mosaic is about. It’s a place for the light to shine through, and as it does, my prayer is that God would be glorified.
So, as we finish the semester and move into whatever is ahead, I hope you’ll enjoy this Spring collection of pieces. And as you do, I hope you feel impacted to proclaim God’s excellencies wherever you go next.
From My Desk to Yours,
Evelyn Harrington
