Wood Burned Engraving

By Elijah Chojnacki

“This woodburning engraving project is inspired by Exodus 14:14. In Exodus 14, the Israelites are terrified because they are being chased by the Egyptians and become trapped at the edge of the Red Sea. Moses reassures the Israelites, “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” Then, God splits the Red Sea! The illustration was painted and partly engraved toward the vanishing point.” –Elijah Chojnacki

Drawing Inspired by White Fang

By Elijah Chojnacki

“This drawing was inspired by the book White Fang by Jack London. In the story, White Fang finally found an owner who loved him, and to show his devotion to his beloved owner, he would watch his owner’s property all day and all night. I related this story to a lesson God taught me, because I want to do so much for Him. But what God desires most, like White Fang’s owner, is simply me (you). That is what obeying the most important commandment, which is found in Mark 12:30, looks like. It’s simply loving God with all your heart.” –Elijah Chojnacki
