The colors of fall and the colors of spring
Can sometimes look the same.
I noticed that on a springtime drive,
When red and yellow set the trees aflame.
It made me think of the autumn months,
And I thought it was a curious thing,
Because I remembered it was late March,
And realized that fall reflected spring.
And I thought that sometimes the colors
Make us feel as if the cold is on its way,
When really, if we could just look ahead,
We would see the month of May.
